Guinan high-speed railway is the first high-speed railroad in Guangxi with a design speed of 350 km/h, the line runs through the northwest of Guangxi and southeast of Guizhou, is an important part of China's "medium and long-term railroad network planning" "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railroad network package sea channel, for the connection of "The Belt and Road"and promote the construction of new land and sea channels in the west has important significance. The Yongxing No. 1 Tunnel of the Guinan High-speed Railway is a double-track tunnel. The main tunnel is mostly of IV surrounding rock, which is excavated by the step method, and the auxiliary tunnel flood discharge tunnel is excavated in full section. The mechanized construction of 3 Siton single-arm rock drilling rigs is used to meet the requirements of rock drilling and drilling construction such as excavation of blast holes, advanced support, locking feet, and system bolts. 3 single-arm rock drilling rigs (two DW1-70 + One DW1- 90), all equipped with 18kw high-power rock drills, 5.5 meters drill pipe, divided into 2 shifts according to the main hole and the flood discharge tunnel, the main hole is circulated once a day, and the flood discharge is carried out 2-3 cycles/day, single cycle footage 3.8 meters.

Advantages of using multiple single-arm excavation

1. High utilization rate of equipment: multiple equipment has a clear division of labor and flexible scheduling, which can meet all drilling constructions such as upper and lower passages, blast holes and bolts of flood discharge tunnels.

2. Labors: 6 people for the construction of the main tunnel and 4 people for the construction of the flood discharge tunnel can complete the drilling construction.

3. Safety: The operator should work under the safe cab away from the working surface (especially the construction of anchor rods), and the noise decibel of the three equipment is lower than 80dB.

4. High efficiency and energy saving: It takes only 2 minutes for a single hole of 4 meters to drill, and more than an hour for a single cycle to drill. During operation, a single device is only 62KW, which saves more than 45% energy compared with air compressors.

5. Low investment and high security: the total investment cost of 3 single arms is not higher than that of multi-arms, and if one of multiple single arms fails, it will not cause shutdown.

The construction environment of the construction site was complex, the temperature difference between inside and outside the cave was large, the cold wind outside the cave was biting, and the inside of the cave was abnormally sultry, approaching 37℃. The overwhelming humid air was like a sauna, making people sweat profusely.
